as of August 28th 2003. All woman comedy show-starts
at-8:45pm, $5 at the door with-partial
proceeds to W.A.V.A.W.

Up For Women start performing every thursday,
instead of just the 1st, 3rd and 5th thursdays as we did in
the past.
Aren't we popular? Comics
on this thursday's show include Karen
Hoskins fresh from the Pride Festival Stage,
Nikki Pearson
who recently did a radio show with SNL alumni Colin Quinn while
at the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival, plus touring comic
Erica Sigurdson
named "Funniest Female Comedian" by the Georgia Straight.

For Laughs and has written and performed in two
"Pick of The Fringe" productions. Our improv shows are
known to draw a crowd on the sidewalk at Davie St... come see
for yourself and utter the line we hear every week... "Oh!-

CFRO / Co-op Radio, will be onstage at Octane performing
and also taping some of the comics for her show. Come on down

one-woman Fringe
show, "The
Big Road", along with her co-star her sweet
dog Flipper, who-patiently sits at

will perform. Christine has tons of credits in television, feature
films and on stage. A triple threat in comedyland, she is very
talented, very hilarious and even easy on the eyes. Wow, what
a bitch! In addition to performing for us Christine will hold
a seminar on emcee skills before the show at 7:30pm with a "postmortem"
